The Stocks were originally designed as a form of medieval punishment, the Stocks are a wooden frame designed to restrain an unlucky individuals hands and head as an example to the public of the consequences of their crime and mischief. The victim is usually goaded, prodded, and poked in the Stocks as they think about the error of their ways!!

But nowadays in the 21^st Century, no such form of punishment exists (Phew!), but that doesn’t mean that we can’t use the Stocks as a bit of fun! Using a bucket and sponges, you can now give a willing volunteer a good old soaking.

The wooden Stocks are a fantastic way to raise money for schools fetes, as there is always one person that you would like to see on the receiving end of a wet sponge - imagine getting your head teacher in the Stocks - how much would you pay to give them a bit of payback?
